Landmark Appraisal Company, a family owned, local Washington business for the past 35 years has been appraising residential homes, farms, vacant land, commercial property, including retail and industrial, multi-family buildings and estates.

We currently have two general appraisers, one residential appraiser and two apprentice appraisers allowing a good turn around time for a completed report. All three licensed appraisers are FHA certified. Some of our clients include local banks, Bank of Washington , Bank of Franklin County, First Bank, and Citizens Bank. We also do work for numerous mortgage companies, relocation specialists and lawyers including estate work. We have also done some MODOT work with the widening of Highway 100 from Washington to Interstate Highway 44, where many changes are anticipated in the near future and the 185 extension in Sullivan.

Our coverage area includes all of Franklin, Gasconade and Warren Counties with partial coverage of Jefferson, Crawford, St. Charles and St. Louis Counties. We only work in the areas we are familiar with because we feel that hiring an appraiser in their local areas will give the customer the most accurate estimated value of their property.

We consistently strive to maintain 3-7 business day or less turnaround time on typical single-family appraisals! However this is dependent upon being able to arrange an appointment quickly with the home owner for the site observation, the uniqueness of the property, and the amount of market research which must be completed individually for each appraisal.

We maintain a large library of current and historical data from MLS, public records and previous appraisal files in order to have access to the best available market data. Every comparable’s data is cross-checked through every available information source in order to provide the most reliable information in each report.

Landmark has the ability to e-mail most appraisals in a PDF format or will supply the customer with 2 full color copies of their report.
